Over 220 Black & White Photographs.
This book is a sequel to Volume One which was first published in 1999 and followed by two subsequent reprints, such has been the continued interest in the photographic history of the South Wales town of Abertillery. This was an industrial powerhouse of a town in the county of Gwent, and being based mainly on the coal industry with a population approaching 39,000 this was a busy place to be. All of this has of course changed over the years, much of it beyond recognition but thankfully, with the assistance of well over 200 photographs some of it has been brought back to life which should be of interest to readers of all ages. Included are many scenes from the neighbouring town of Six Bells which sadly suffered a serious explosion in the colliery in 1960 killing 45 miners.
